Glen Drouin - PHRca

President

Glen Drouin had a 13-year career with his family owned business and followed that up with a 20-year career in Human Resources with a national company before starting his own HR consulting firm Harbor HR. Glen’s extensive knowledge and skillset has assisted numerous businesses throughout his 20-year career in Human Resources, employee and management development, and company culture shaping.

Glen enjoys playing ice hockey (go Sharks!), exercising and playing just about any sport. Glen has run the New York City Marathon, twice run the California International Marathon, and countless half marathons (he especially loves and highly recommends the Disneyland half marathon). He loves to laugh, quote movies and always be learning. Glen prides himself on his integrity, loyalty and work ethic and has earned a strong reputation as someone you can trust and rely on. Jill Cody - PHRca, SHRM-CP

Senior HR Consultant

Jill joined the Harbor HR team in early 2020. She holds two industry certifications: Professional in Human Resources – California (PHRca) from the Human Resources Certification Institute and Certified Professional from the Society of Human Resources Management (SHRM-CP). Jill also holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology, with a specialty in Human Resources Management, from California State University, Chico. She brings over 15 years of HR experience working in a variety of business settings from a giant corporation to a small nonprofit agency. As a Senior HR Consultant with Harbor HR, Jill’s skills in California labor law, policy and procedure development, handbook creation, job analysis, employee relations, recruiting, interviewing and hiring are all well utilized. While raising her children, Jill took her career into education and earned two teaching credentials with the state of California. Her teaching background gives Jill a unique perspective on how individuals learn, train and grow in the workplace.

Doing business in California is definitely tricky with regulations changing frequently. Jill enjoys helping her clients take care of those fine HR details that nobody has time for, and excels in bringing calming structure to overwhelming chaos.

Jill is a bookworm, enjoys yoga, loves visiting local breweries, and cycling with her husband. She is a dog lover and volunteers her time at her local church. Jill is a big baseball fan (Go Giants!) and seeing every MLB ballpark in the nation is on her bucket list.

Amanda Jones – PHRca

Senior HR Consultant

Amanda is a true lover of animals and originally dreamed of a career in animal rehabilitation, which lead her to graduate from CSU Long Beach with a Bachelor’s degree in Biology. It didn’t take long for Amanda to realize that her extraverted ways needed more personal interactions, so she turned her path to Recruiting and Human Resources. Amanda spent 7 years in the recruiting industry which is where she learned a lot about the tricks to recruiting, onboarding, employee retention and so many other HR related employee requirements. Her HR passion perfectly aligns with her HR Consulting role with Harbor HR because it enables her to help her clients excel each and every day.

When Amanda isn’t kicking butt in the HR realm, she is teaching Taekwondo, currently holding the rank of 5th Degree Black Belt in ITF and a 2nd Degree Black Belt in Kukkiwon. Amanda also loves spending time with her family, practicing martial arts, fostering dogs and enjoying a nice glass of vino from one of many local amazing wineries.

Dana Tafoya – PHR

Senior HR Consultant

Dana has over 20 years of HR experience working with a myriad of businesses in all industries. 15 of those years were spent in an HR Consultant role supporting California based businesses. As a Senior HR Consultant with Harbor HR, Dana’s skills in navigating employee labor laws allows her to create an HR infrastructure that is second to none. Dana helps business owners, HR managers, office managers, and managers in developing policies and procedures, creating job descriptions, employee handbooks, employee benefits, compliance trainings, performance management, leave management, and all the other HR related requirements. Dana earned her B.A. Degree in Psychology, with a Minor in Human Resources Management from California State University, Sacramento.

Dana’s passion in life is her love of spirituality and practice in mindfulness, meditation and presence. She enjoys spending time with those near and dear to her. Her favorite pastime is spent in nature, connecting to all the magic and beauty the planet offers. She enjoys reading books that bring awareness to self, creating growth and expansion with life experiences. These passions also help her when working with her clients to develop the best company culture.

Adrianna Durrell

HR Consultant

Adrianna graduated from California State University, Chico where she double majored in Psychology & Child Development. She worked primarily with children until she began her HR career with an organization specializing in employee training and employee development. Adrianna’s passion for HR was evident immediately and we knew she would be a great addition to the Harbor HR team. Adrianna’s empathetic and results-focused approach contributes to her success in helping businesses & employees become the best versions of themselves.

Adrianna loves traveling to new places, meeting people from different backgrounds and trying new foods. She is very passionate about her Greek culture and enjoys visiting her family in Greece and learning more about her own personal family history. Exercising is also important too, and she enjoys doing Pilates, strength training, and going on walks. To relax, she loves reading and spending time with her Calico cat, Minnie.

Mike Akedo

Administrative Assistant

Mike has served as an Administrative Assistant helping organizations for over 20 years. His previous experience was with a Fortune 500 company assisting a full HR consulting team and in the mortgage industry which required Mike to have a laser focus on fast and accurate completion of important client and company documents. 

Outside of work, Mike is a Master of Art in Origami. Creating some amazing artistic items that are proudly displayed all over Harbor HR’s office space. Mike is also a hot wheel’s collector, having amassed over 20,000 hot wheels. And you thought your kids had a lot of toys. Ha ha! Mike also enjoys fishing in Oregon and once was an avid bowler and has two perfect 300 games to his credit.
